Adoption From Foster Care
Many children are available for adoption from foster care in the United States. This program is designed to find families for children in this category.
The advantage to having a home study done by a private agency is that your information is available to every county in state of Colorado and any other state. This is in contrast to a home study done by the county department of social services and having your home study available only for the children in that county. You may not work with another agency, such as the Department of Social Services in your county while working with All About Adoption Services.
At times the social worker for the children may look for a permanent family prior to the child being legally free. This is calles a legal risk replacement. All About Adoption Services reviews the legal situation of the children being considered for placement. The county departments usually attempt to reunify the child with the birth family and extended family. Children available may be older, usually school age, sibling froups and of any ethnicity.
The prospective adoptive family will need a completed, approved adoption home study. The study will state specifically the age, race and number of children a family is approved to adopt.
